Disney world rides not to miss

Some people in your group might like tamer or sillier rides. Other people in your group might not even make certain height requirements for some rides! Fortunately, all of the members in your party can get FastPasses for different rides and attractions, if they so wish.

That way, if you have different priorities about what rides you're dying to go on, you may all be able to skip the lines for the rides you enjoy the most individually. A common misconception is that the time you book your FastPass for is the exact time you must show up to the attraction to ride.

Not so! You actually have a one-hour window to ride. If you booked a FastPass for pm, let's say, you have until pm to ride the ride. This gives you a little more flexibility with your time. It's important to note, however, that you can not have a FastPass for another attraction that overlaps that window.

Still, knowing that the time you booked isn't rigid can certainly be a relief. Plan accordingly! Let's say disaster strikes, and you're unable to get to the ride to use your FastPass for the allotted hour you booked. Disney parks understand many things can go wrong and that not everything will run smoothly and on schedule — especially if there are children in your party!

Fortunately, there is a grace period for your FastPasses. You'll get five minutes before the official time as well as 15 minutes after the one-hour window closes to get on the ride. The employees there are usually pretty understanding. Adults seem to love them as much as the kids. The film is really beautiful, even the characters of traditional hand-drown animation that have been redesigned and rendered in 3D.

And this particular point is no easy task. For a tribute to great Disney songs, I expected a little more than just four songs whose three of them were written by still brilliant composer Alan Menken. However I understand that people who come to Disney for characters and Magic love PhilarMagic so much. And this attraction is full of curiosities compared to its Paris version. The ride is longer and the scenes are quite larger. Which is kind of weird. I never found it beautiful on picture, and seeing it for real did not change my opinion about it.

Some small portions of the land got a nice Bavarian touch but for the rest I find Fantasyland quite cold and stark. Hopefully, the current construction of the New Fantasyland will bring more various and immersive theming which will add more color and life to this all grey land. Next to Fantasyland is the gorgeous Liberty Square. This patriotic land takes you in a lovely colonial America district. And naturally, Liberty Square is home of the Hall of Presidents.

But seeing it once is enough…. At the bottom of Liberty Square is the enigmatic Haunted Mansion. There should be more points where you can gaze at the beautiful architecture of the Mansion. But behind its thick walls is one of the best attractions we rode in Orlando. With the recent upgrades of the now floating in the air Madame Leota, the amazingly detailed attic scene and the mind blowing grand finale with the ghosts picking up your head and mixing it up with the one of your friend — all these new effects are absolutely stunning and make this 40years old dark ride one of the most up-to-date attractions in Orlando.

The interactive queue area is also a brilliant addition. All these new additions have been made to fit and match the original look and story of the ride, unlike for instance Space Mountain Mission 2 where changes have been mediocrely made and completely destroy a fantastic design and storyline.

But I digress. After years and years of riding Phantom Manor, I really enjoyed the very simple and clear storyline of Haunted Mansion. But nothing in Haunted Mansion can beat the dramatic outside scenery and the incredible music of Phantom Manor. If DLP finally gets the recent upgrade for this attraction especially to replace our sad Madame Leota, for years in veeery bad statethen Phantom Manor will officially get back its title of best haunted house in a Disney park.

The trains also has a large Epcot — Progress City model to stare at cool! Disney did not find a solution to this problem yet.

Oh actually they did: Discoveryland and its past visions of the future. Carousel of Progress takes us into the past of great technological achievements… in a land based on the future. Go figure.

But since we love everything retro, we liked the show, which is very funny and well scripted. Overprotection of Disney park guests killed this ride targeted to an older audience.

I guess young adults who love thrill but themed! Really really sad. Not only the Stich show is mediocre but the theming of the waiting area is terrible. Two words to describe it: bad taste. Of course we tested the new park-wide game: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom. But the integration of the portals is so good you sometimes have to look a few minutes to find them.

Some of them are almost invisible! And collect all the cards for free! But there is still a small concern about the game: there is nothing else to do except showing the right cart to the right portal. Which does not let any chance to actually win or lose the game. Another case of guest overprotection. But, we were delighted to regime sans viande fatigue so many street performances and animations, even if you decide not to stop to watch it entirely.

It really makes a difference and gives life to a park. The results: some part of attractions really seem completely dated. Ultimately we found the Magic Kingdom very complete. It really is marvelous but the scenery and design are even more detailed and extravagant in Disneyland Paris.

You can find the same attention to detail in Animal Kingdom or on Splash Mountain in the Magic Kingdom but not in the entire park. Horaires du parc Magic Kingdom.
